Regarding how the new hospital incorporates the needs caused by the pandemic, Dr Sanjeev K Singh, Medical Director of Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, told “We have learned a lot from the pandemic. The construction of the hospital started in 5-6 years. Previously, lessons learned from the pandemic followed.
For instance, any patient who had an emergency could be helped in a 40-bed setup. In that setup, we had a decontamination area and anyone who needed a shower People will be sent there. We have four negative pressure rooms, and if we have any suspected cases of covid or covid-like illness, we can send them to the relevant experts. Transfer mechanisms are also being planned and implemented. In all intensive care There are positive pressure isolation rooms.”

“In Kochi hospital, we have established tissue engineering, nanomedicine-based cardiac scaffolds, bone growth and more. The Faridabad campus that we are focusing on is developing something new in stem cell therapy. We hope that in our GMP laboratory technology like we make our own human cells, because generally we rely on our international counterparts for such procedures. Recently, we did a study where we found that we could use a patient’s pluripetin stem cells in a tumor and it would Destroy them. For us, oncology is the big push area, but other areas will also be the focus. The purpose of our research facility is to make high-end expensive equipment and treatments cost-effective for ordinary people. We want to bring medicine, Engineering, biotechnology and other fields are fully integrated,” Dr Singh told Financial Express.com.
Dr Singh also said they had secured an advanced ICMR clinical trial unit, which would allow them to conduct trials in the new facility.
“Mata Amritanandamayi has allocated a certain amount of seed funding to start the research. Based on the proposals submitted, things will come to life and start,” he added.
Dr Singh also told that new hospitals will also be selected. “There’s a 3-6 month process and then medical facilities will be available under all groups like ECHS, CGHS and other TPAs,” he added.

A physician-like learning and development facility. The facility will also house a medical school and the largest allied health sciences campus in the country,” he said.
